Learn more about Checkout Delivery Date Shopify app and set it up on your store.

What is Checkout Delivery Date app

Checkout Delivery Date app lets customers select a delivery date and time (optional) from the cart or checkout pages (showing selectors on checkout is only available to Shopify Plus merchants).

Allowing customers to select their delivery date helps to improve the customer experience by letting them choose the most appropriate date and time to have their orders shipped.

Checkout Delivery Date allows you to configure this per-country for maximum flexibility (for instance, you might only be able to offer this service in selected countries).

Quick start

Before setting up the app, you must ensure it is correctly installed on your Shopify store.

Installing the app

If you have not yet installed the app, open the Checkout Delivery Date app page in the app store, and click the "Add app" button at the top.

Shopify will show you a page indicating the permissions that the app requires to work and will ask you to approve the installation. The app only asks for the minimum permissions required to perform its task. The app won't have access to your customers' or order information and won't be able to edit your theme code.

Approving the charge

After installing the app, you will be asked to approve the monthly charge. The app gives you a 7-day free trial to try the app. If the app does not match your expectations and uninstall it within 7 days after installation, you won't be charged.

Setting up the app

Setting up the app requires you to do 2 different steps:

1. Configuring your delivery date configurations: configure each country where you want to allow date and time selection. Learn more
2. Displaying on your store: if you are on a Shopify Plus plan, you can show delivery date widgets directly onto your checkout. I am using Shopify Plus. If you are not using Shopify Plus, you can show delivery date widgets on your cart page. I am not using Shopify Plus.
